Finally!
A (crappy, albeit) tribute to my absolute favorite show growing up; Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy.

I have never seen a show, prior to or since, where I have really and truly adored each and every character featured.
Even though I had my personal favorites (Edd and Rolf), every single character charmed the pants off of me in some way, shape, or form.
Never happened in any other form of cartoon again, not with every one (though the Ponies have come close).

I have doodled up each of the cast of twelve as an incarnation from my website world.

Fun to do and fun to color, so much color.

--------------------------

*I'll start this off by saying that I honestly have no special preference to cats or dogs; but in the world setting I used; Canines and Felines are painfully prevalent and very common. They turn up in most mixes and families simply because they're everywhere. It would be highly unlikely for this neighborhood of relatively normal kids to have less than a 50% fill of the two.*

Lee - Lion, Highlander; I've always seen the Kankers as moving in either a pack or a pride. Lion seemed to be a goodly representation there, especially since the Feline breed is so common in the world base I used. Lee also struck me as a pure for both Breed and Realm, she's got too much pride and personality to be a true mix. Ruthlessly proud and controlling, Highlander fit her to a tee.

Marie - Lion/Squirrel, Sorgaire Range/Highlander; Again, mainly Lion, though I've pegged their Mother as being a Lion/Squirrel mix, so Marie looks most like her Momma. Slinky and smart, the Range influenced her mostly, with a good streak of Highland pride and arrogance in there. Squirrel makes her more limber and faster, but the split in breeds gives Lee head-of-pride status...Lee's got one Hell of a punch.

May - Lion/Labrador/Squirrel, Midori Beach/Highlander; Poor May, my favorite of the Kankers, and the ugliest of the outcasts. My brother favored the idea that, of all of their deadbeat Fathers, May's would have been the high-as-a-kite drifter, a Midori who rolled into town, and rolled back out. Poor thing, the Canine in her blood's gone and ruined her looks, and the green just couldn't make her pretty and her markings are a mess.

Edd - Feline, Esterberry/Torquehelm; Darling Eddward, who wouldn't love him? Feline just seemed to strike him fully, the deadpan snarker who loves attention because he doesn't get it at home, like the neighbor's cat who constantly sits on your steps and whines for affection.Smart and a neat freak, it works for both the Feline and the Esterberry in him, bright and witty, and prideful of it. He's awfully bound to his honor system and his companions, though; even seeming to adore the ones who constantly trash him, and seeing good in everyone, unless forced to think otherwise...and even then bouncing back. Torque all the way. He's a 50/50 split, and keeps his binding under his hat.

Eddy - Boar/Weasel, Morganberry/Josiggy Marsh; Damn, but I loved this one. Don't mock the pig, man, it can eff up your day royally. Charming and hard to repress, Weasel and Morganberry stood out for him, but not quite as much as the money-hoarding tendencies and territorial ways of the Josiggy and Boar. Loyal only (truly) to himself and his ambitions, which his friends luckily figure into, he's a monster if he hates you, and fun if you're in his good book. Morganberry stands out most here, but face it, how often does he actually let a blow put him down? Not only will he be back for more, but he'll be bigger and badder than the last time, in an effort to squeeze every last penny out of the situation, and aspires to the greater things in life.

Ed - Labrador/Chicken, Benyan Riverlands/Forest of Kahmden; The colors came out so nice here, I really rather like them. :)
Loyal as Hell and thick as mud, a loving oafish mutt combined with a stupid-as-all-get-out Chicken seemed to fit...no flying for Ed, those wings are for decorative purposes only. The Benyan tends to be full of a laid-back and thick folk who do what they're told or what they've always done, just 'cause. Ed's a...good example of an outsider's stereotype. The hint of Kahmden in him just reinforces his loyalty to rules and friends and his 'good boy' status, goes well with the Lab. The Chicken honestly seemed to fit with his obsession, and with his wit and ADD, and Benyans love to hoard hobbies...like reading sci/fi magazines and watching bad films.

Sarah - Labrador/Chicken, Forest of Kahmden/Benyan Riverlands; Well, they are siblings and they do look horribly alike when Edd combs out his hair. Sarah got a more refined Lab face and far less Chicken in her mix. Kahmden harsh love of rules and enforcing them is what caused her mix to swing more toward the Forest side of things, as opposed to her brother's thicker Benyan mix. An iron fist ruling combined with her delighted adoration of close friends and a good time, make her short-circuiting personality an oddity, but certainly an explicable one for her mix. The Chicken comes out in her lightning temper, pushing her more canine side into aggression when it's pushed, even slightly. Ever seen a moody Chicken?
Evil things...

Jimmy - Chinese Crested/Standard poodle, Villa en Miir/Cranstone Moors; Little weirdy.
I admit to being terribly fond of Jimmy, especially in later seasons, when he showed off his ridiculously and oddly sadistic side. Fluffy and sickly little thing, Cresteds tend not to be that healthy (unless well bred)...and neither do Cranstones. Renowned for their weirdness and unnatural tendencies, the Cranstone is not as evident in him, and really only becomes noticeable when he's furious or feeling devilish, otherwise, he comes off as a pure Villa.
The Poodle helps him bounce back well from his many, compiled injuries, and his artistic tendencies are the very basic building blocks for any proud Villa, as are a love of the arts, upper class, and magic.
His words read 'dauntless' and 'finery'.

Johnny - Badger, Solandrian Glacier/Sorgaire Range/Josiggy Marsh; Crazy little spazz, an odd duck, but not too out there.
Quite a mix of Realms, Johnny strikes me as being a little much of each which pushes him to eccentricity.
An energetic and never tiring thing, Badger and Solandrian smacked him upside the head with their endless drive and push for whatever they want at the time, tempered by his odd moments of sanity and good sense from the other two Realms.
Mixing Solandrian with too many things can cause their hard-wiring for instant survival kick to sometimes make an odd-in-the-head combination, and his possible personality complex just adds to it. (I like to think the Josiggy tendency to collect money lends itself here in Johnny's desire to hoard things like...acorns.)

Kevin - German Shepherd/Feline, Highlander; Another pure Highlander? Well, they are fairly common, especially unmixed, they're quite fond of their own Realm. Kevin strikes me as a very usual 'everyman', albeit a popular and (to everyone who isn't an Ed) charming one. Gracious and unoffending to those in his 'circle', and painfully rude and even cruel to those who aren't, a Highlander and a picky Feline roll well here for Kevin. Canines are commonly athletic and Felines are well enough known for their overall good looks, as are Highlanders in general, it's easy to see why he's the 'King' of the school.

Nazz - Feline/Mouse, Highlander/Yarrow Gardens; Pretty little Nazz, there has to be a reason every man loves you. The Yarrow are exotic, beautiful (within exception), and witty when they feel like it; somewhat shallow and overall kindly unless you aren't something they approve of. It made for that little touch of 'extra' in her Highland glory.
Her Feline beauty and laziness is tempered by her rodent genes, which give her a quick and perky edge. Sweet, but not the smartest mix in the making unless pushed, she seems a good result for a common enough mix, with a little something extra in there. (Yarrow also makes for her short temper with some of the boys antics, methinks.)

Rolf - Australian Shepherd/Ram, Golfam Marsh/Sorgaire Range; A rarer Realm from the far side of the globe, Golfams are weird as Hell, have assbackwards customs, freaky slang accents, and idioms.
Perfect for Rolf, though he has flashes of near brilliance and cunning that give him his Sorgaire 'cool factor' and ability to be well-liked in the cul-de-sac.
His painful loyalties and general goodwill toward everyone, with little to no exception shows his Canine influence clearly, as well as his Golfam attitude toward work, family, and friends. Wicked in his ways of punishing you, but willing to forgive all instantly once you've made it up to him, he's an oddity in most cultures, excepting the Golfam. His sweet nature is tempered out with his Sorgaire influences, a they can be quite sweet people, though driven, and driven he is; in his work and duties especially. Pleasant, cheerful, and happy to go along with and believe what he is told (unless proven to have been tricked); he's a wonderful little 'sheeple', and has my favorite coloration.

Hope you all like it.
Not great, but not bad, and been in the works for months, whenever I got free time.
That...got long.
Apologies.
